What is stopping you from achieving your goals?
What can YOU DO to get rid of these obstacles, so they aren't obstacles?
Your life is the longest thing you will ever do, and you don't want to have to look back at the end of it and think 'What if...?'.
Achieving goals is also a great way of spurring yourself on to be a more creative and inventive person - getting through smaller goals first will increase your ability to power through discouragement as you step up and up to larger goals. It can also help to split larger goals into smaller achievements, so you don't feel so swamped. The more effort you put into life, the more life you will have.
It is so easy to look at your goals, and see only the effort that it will take to reach them. When you do this, it is just as easy to think 'I won't bother', and give up on it. You need to power through this, and reach the other side! As Edison said "Nearly every man who develops an idea works it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then he gets discouraged. That's not the place to become discouraged.", you need to try to push through this stage, and this will push you to be a stronger person overall - as Nelson Mandela said "It always seems impossible until it's done".
I have made all of the greatest achievements in my life from not giving into thinking it is 'too hard' - I ran a Marathon, ran a Half-Marathon (dressed as 'The Flash'), completed an Olympic length Triathlon, I was an extra in a TV show for a while, and soon I will be going for my Black Belt in Kung Fu!
So stop putting things off, stop thinking things are too hard, get out there and achieve your goals.
